Coaching Soccer, Sports Psychology, Growing Up in Derry Ireland... and other Tangents (w/ Marty Walker)

This week we're joined by Marty Walker from Inter Connecticut Football Club. He grew up a Catholic in Derry, Ireland during the Troubles, started playing professional football (or soccer for our American audience) at 18, and went on to earn a degree in sports psychology which he uses in his practice, Train Your Mind. He has coached soccer at the college level, currently serving at Yale University. In his coaching and youth soccer involvement, Marty looks to instill in his players a love for the game, a love for development, and a love for growth. In this episode, he shares some of his coaching vision, and how sports are really a window into overall human development and growth.
